Boston Red Sox star Nomar Garciaparra has signed this bat commemorating his excellent 1997 season. Garciaparra was named the American League Rookie of the Year in 1997 after hitting .306 with 30 homers, 98 RBI, and 22 stolen bases. Garciaparra led the American League in hits (209) and triples (11) while leading MLB in at-bats (684). This bat is etched with a portrait of Nomar and a Red Sox logo on the barrel, as well as “Nomar Garciaparra / AL Rookie of the Year 1997”. The reverse side of the barrel is etched with Garciaparra’s accomplishments and statistics from 1997. Nomar has signed the barrel of this limited edition 344 of 365 bat in black marker. Also included in this lot is a presentational ring box commemorating Garciaparra’s 1997 Rookie of the Year. This bat comes with a COA from PSA/DNA (AE55797) and a LOA from the Doerr family.
