Presented here is an artist-proof lithograph of Norman Rockwell’s “American Marches Head” from 1975. Rockwell, an extraordinarily prolific artist, was most well-known for his portrayals of ordinary American life, painted this marching band drummer in full regalia mid-beat. The lifelike detail in Rockwell’s works is on full display in this piece, with the visage of the drummer displaying full attention to his beat as the chinstrap on his hat edges towards his mouth. The vividly detailed and vibrantly colored artist-proof lithograph was signed by Rockwell with a pencil on the bottom right corner of the lithograph. The signature is bold, and the specimen is gorgeous and comes with an LOA from Beckett Authentication for the signature.
