Offered is a multi-item display commemorating the Apollo 11 mission, the historic landing of three United States astronauts on the moon in July 1969.  This 32 x 32-inch black wood and glass framed display features a 14 x 20-inch copy of the front page of the July 16, 1969 broadsheet issue of the Los Angeles Herald Examiner, with one fo the coolest headlines published “OFF TO THE MOON!”  At left in the display is an 8x10-inch color photo of the Apollo 11 astronauts walking to the launch pad prior to the launch of the historic mission, with Neil Armstrong in his space suit waving to the assembled media. Below the photo is an ivory paper 7 x 10-inch cover to the “Apollo 11 Lunar Landing” program from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, with a brown-printed illustration of an astronaut’s foot on the surface of the moon.

At the bottom left is a 4 x 8-inch orange cardstock “Apollo 11 Press” original parking pass with black printing that was given to the press that day. Below the copy of the Herald Examiner is a 3 x 5-inch white cardstock press pass to the Kennedy Space Center for the launch of Apollo 11, with a NASA logo printed in blue. To the right is a 4-inch embroidered cloth patch of the Apollo 11 logo, with a Bald Eagle landing on the Moon.  At the bottom right is a laminated 3 x 4-inch green paper “Apollo 11 Guest Pass” for the Kennedy Space Center, Cape Kennedy Air Force Station, Patrick Air Force Base. All seven items in this display are mounted in a blue paper matte with red and white borders and is a wonderful piece of American and world history!
