Presented here is a collection of 43 photographs and items of hockey media, ten of which have been signed, that originates from the personal collection of Orest Kindrachuk. Grinding center Orest Kindrachuk was a key member of the famed “Broad Street Bullies” Philadelphia Flyers teams of the early 1970s, anchoring a fearsome third-line with his pugnacious teammates Dave “The Hammer” Schultz and Don “Big Bird” Saleski. Kindrachuk made a two-game cameo appearance during the 1972-73 season but played a crucial role for the Flyers during their back-to-back Stanley Cup winning years in 1974 and 1975, scoring 72 points between the two seasons. Kindrachuk played six seasons for the Flyers before a trade sent him to the Pittsburgh Penguins, where he served as the team’s captain for three campaigns. Kindrachuk retired after spending the 1981-82 season with the Washington Capitals.
These signed items include a program signed in black marker by Hall of Famer Gordie Howe, a photograph print signed by the Hall of Famers Bernie Parent, Bobby Clarke, and Bill Barber in blue marker, a photograph signed by St. Louis Blues goaltender Greg Millen, a photograph of and signed by Alexander Daigle in gold marker, and three Stanley Cup Reunion programs signed by numerous members of the “Broad Street Bullies”. These items have been pre-certified by Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication.
