Grinding center Orest Kindrachuk was a key member of the famed “Broad Street Bullies” Philadelphia Flyers teams of the early 1970s, anchoring a fearsome third-line with his pugnacious teammates Dave “The Hammer” Schultz and Don “Big Bird” Saleski. Kindrachuk made a two-game cameo appearance during the 1972-73 season but played a crucial role for the Flyers during their back-to-back Stanley Cup winning years in 1974 and 1975, scoring 72 points between the two seasons. Kindrachuk played six seasons for the Flyers before a trade sent him to the Pittsburgh Penguins, where he served as the team’s captain for three campaigns. Kindrachuk retired after spending the 1981-82 season with the Washington Capitals.

Presented here are nine awards and recognitions from both during and after Kindrachuk’s illustrious hockey career. Included is a Fenelon Old Flyers 10th anniversary medal, a Saskatchewan Bantam A Kinsmen Blackhawks plaque, two framed medals, a 1978 Molson International Super Series trophy, a 1967 Midget hockey championship trophy, an NHLPA award, a trophy for being the leading scorer in the 1964-65 Pee Wee hockey league, a miniature Stanley Cup trophy presented by Peters and Pilon Celebrity Golf Tournament, and a nomination for a 2002 Mid-Atlantic Emmy Award. These items come with a LOA from Kindrachuk.
