     Tampa Bay Ray’s broadcaster and former professional baseball player Orestes Destrade of the Miami Marlins autographed, wore, and used all items in this lot. Offered in this lot are two jerseys, two pairs of pants, one baseball cap, one belt, and a bat. All are attributed to being used during his time with the Florida Marlins.

     The first jersey is a size 48 Florida Marlins home jersey vest made by Russell Athletic. Across the chest is the Marlins team name in teal tackle twill with black and white tackle twill borders. Below the team name is Destrade’s player number “39” in black tackle twill with white and teal tackle twill borders. The back of the jersey has “DESTRADE” across the shoulder blades and Player number “39” directly below it. Both Destrade’s name and number are in black, teal, and white tackle twill. On the back on the neck is the Russell logo is embroidered in teal and black. This Jersey was autographed and inscribed in the lower right half of the shirt above the Russell brand patch, “GAME USED INAUGURAL SEASON 1993 FIRST SLEEVELESS JERSEY EVER USED” in black marker. The matching pants to this jersey are size 36 and also made by Russell Athletics, they are signed and inscribed in black marker ink. Their inscription reads: “GAME USED INAUGURAL SEASON”.

     The second jersey in this lot is a size 48 Florida Marlins road jersey made by Russell Athletic. The front of the jersey has “FLORIDA” sewn on in teal tackle twill with black and white borders, and a Marlin fish in teal, grey, white, and black tackle twill. Underneath the team branding is Destrade’s player number “39” in black tackle twill with a teal tackle twill border. “Destrade” is in black and teal tackle twill across the shoulder blades and the player number “39” is also in black and teal tackle twill. The right sleeve of the jersey has a 125th anniversary patch with the Russell logo beneath it in teal and black tackle twill, indicating this jersey was from the 1994 season. The left sleeve has a Florida Marlins patch. On the front of the jersey is Destrade’s autographed and hand written inscription in black marker, “GAME USED 1994”. The matching pants to this jersey are a size 36 and also made by Russell Athletics and are signed and inscribed in black marker “GAME USED”.

     The teal Marlins cap and black leather belt are both autographed and inscribed “GAME USED INAUGURAL SEASON 1993”. The cap is signed in black marker ink and the belt is signed in silver marker ink. The cap all teal with an “F” for Florida in black and grey tackle twill with a Marline behind it. It is 100% wool and a size 7 ¼ made by New Era. The belt was made the All-Star manufacturing company.

     The seventh and final item offered in this lot is a Cooper Pro 100 model bat used by Orestes Destrade during the 1993 Inaugural season. The bat has a black barrel, maple stock and knob, and black, white, red, and yellow stock tape. The Barrel is signed and inscribed in silver marker “GAME USED INAUGURAL SEASON 1993 Marlins”. These items come with a LOA from Erestes Destrade.
