Presented is an original, limited-edition Mickey Mantle portrait artist proof serigraph by noted artist Leroy Neiman, signed by the artist. Neiman has signed his name in graphite pencil in the lower right corner of the print., The lower left corner of the print is inscribed “A.P. 41/70” in graphite pencil. The renowned sports artist has captured a grinning Mantle as he slugs another home run, batting lefthanded, with his Yankee teammates look on with awe from the dugout. Neiman (1921-2012) was the 20th century’s most successful sports artist and painted this image in 1962. This limited-edition artist proof was produced in 1999 and is printed on white paper. There are slight wrinkles on the right margin of the print which is displayed in a 42 x 44-inch black wood and glass frame. There is a small, approx. ½-inch white stain in the top left of the frame. This item comes with a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (A25589).
