Presented here is a 31 ½ x 31 ½-inch Rolling Stones logo artwork signed by creator John Pasche. The Rolling Stones contacted the Royal College of Art in 1970 looking to commission a poster for their 1970 European tour. The college recommended Pasche. The “Tongue and Lip Design” logo was created by Pasche, who was paid 50 pounds for his work and 200 pounds in 1972. Pasche would later sell the copywright to the band in 1984. The logo would be reproduced on the inner cover of the US release of “Sticky Fingers” in 1971. Pasche would work closely with the band from 1970 to 1974, but his iconic logo has remained his most popular work, with many considering it to be the greatest band logo of all time. This presented artwork is signed by John Pasche in pencil just below the logo. The logo was created on a white board and features the red tongue and lips vibrantly painted and outlined with pencil. The signature is bold, and the artwork is in fantastic condition and is a perfect commemorative to one of rock’s most influential bands. The item comes with an LOA from artist John Pasche.
