This comes to us as a collaboration between a long-time card collector and a rising superstar Street/Pop Art Artist and is titled “JAM”. Using an integration of POP art with the red-hot card collecting, this should be an amazing investment in its own right. Yedi completed this amazing piece by mixing art with the most iconic cards of all time. Never has this been done before, making Yedi the ONLY original. The Greenwich, Connecticut-based artist included everything we love about the 1986 Michael Jordan Fleer Rookie Card, with the flare of things we dreamed the card could be. Known for breaking barriers, Jordan can be seen breaking through the golden barrier of the card itself. You can see Michael taking flight in the classic “Jumpman” pose. Of course, the shoes are a major missing factor from the original card. Here Jordan is seen wearing his iconic first sneaker the Air Jordan 1. Looking closer at this vibrant piece, you can see his father cheering him on from the stands. Also take notice of the bottom of the painting; unlike the card which says “BULLS-GUARD-FORWARD,” the artwork says “BULLS-CHARGE-FORWARD.” The amount of original ideas and thought that went into this piece is unprecedented. The artwork comes in a beautiful custom-made 29 x 52-inch frame that presents as a slabbed card, a work of art in itself. Noticing the serial numbers, you see Jordan’s jersey numbers, point average, and NBA championships. Taking every account into detail you can see the logo “FLYER” in the top right that completes the artist rendition of this beautiful piece of art along with the famous Jordan saying, “Never Quit”. Lastly, the slab is completed with a sparkling JAM symbol that resembles the classic PSA moniker. Taking over a year in development and hundreds of hours to complete, only the highest quality canvas and paints were used. Everything was made to scale. The colors are exquisite and truly remarkable in person. The piece is two separate canvases, signed on the front and with a hologram, notarized, and numbered on the reverse.
