Presented here is a copy of the infamous Dowd Report that has been signed by Pete Rose. The Dowd Report is the notorious document that contributed to Rose accepting a place on baseball’s “Permanently Ineligible” list, ruling the all-time hits leader out of a spot in Cooperstown. The report found that Rose had bet on Cincinnati Reds games during his time as the Reds manager, a mortal sin in the game of baseball. Rose has signed the cover of this report in black marker. Included in this lot is an 11 x 14 inch photograph of Rose, taken early in his career. Rose is wearing a pinstriped, white Reds jersey and posing with a bat. The copy of the Dowd Report comes with a COA from JSA (S87074).
