Offered is a Pete Maravich signature on the front cover of the 1969-1970 Louisiana State University men’s basketball media guide. The Basketball Hall of Famer has signed “Pistol Pete” in blue pen at the top of a black & white action photograph, toned in brown, of the former LSU star. The 80-page book is printed in black & white with photo illustrations. Maravich starred in college at Louisiana State while playing for his father, head coach Press Maravich. He played for three NBA teams until injuries forced his retirement in 1980 following a 10-year career. He is the all-time leading NCAA Division I scorer with 3,667 points scored and an average of 44.2 points per game. One of the youngest players ever inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, Maravich was cited by the Hall as "perhaps the greatest creative offensive talent in history". This item comes with a LOA from Beckett Authentication.
