Presented is a President Richard Nixon autograph in a First Edition copy of his 1985 book, “No More Vietnams.” Nixon has signed the first interior page of the hardcover book in black ink. The non-fiction book, from Arbor Books in New York, has a blue cloth cover with Nixon’s signature reproduced on the front cover and gold title on the spine. There is also a blue cloth slip cover for the book, which shows minor signs of wear on the corners. Nixon was the 37th President of the United States from 1969 to 1974, and was the only U.S. president to resign from office. He previously served as the 36th Vice President of the U.S. from 1953 to 1961 under President Dwight Eisenhower, and was a U.S. Representative and a Senator from California. Nixon ended American involvement in the Vietnam War in 1973 and brought the American prisoners of war home, and ended the military draft. His visit to China in 1972 eventually led to diplomatic relations between the two powers, and he also initiated détente and the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty with the Soviet Union that same year. This item is accompanied by an LOA from PSA/DNA (AC03542).
