Featured is a two-fold display of Rocky Marciano and his defeated opponents. Rocky Marciano is perhaps one of the greatest heavyweight boxers to have ever lived. Sporting an impressive 49 – 0 record, Marciano had a relentless, fast paced style, uncommon for many heavyweights. Furthermore, his precision and power, as well as his granite chin made him the ultimate test for any boxer. Out of his 49 wins, 43 came by way of knockout, giving him an 87.75 knockout to win percentage, the highest of any heavyweight boxer.
This featured piece shows depictions of all of Marciano’s fallen foes, each in his own individual pose. Marciano has signed the back of this print in black ink and inscribed “To Joe My Pal Thank for Being a Pal I’ll Teach Ya to Box Ok 12/28/57”.
