Miami Heat point guard Rod Strickland was awarded with this game ball after moving into seventh place on the all-time assists’ charts against the Chicago Bulls on January 22nd, 2002 at AmericanAirlines Arena. The former DePaul star scored 20 points against the Bulls, tying with Eddie Jones for the team lead, as Miami defeated Chicago 92-79. Strickland added six rebounds and six assists while shooting a red-hot eight of 10 from the field. Strickland finished the night on 7,212 career assists, although he would improve that number to 7,987 by the time of his retirement. Strickland is currently 12th on the NBA’s all-time assists charts.
