The switch-hitting outfielder spent his entire 15-year career patrolling the pastures of Yankee Stadium. A two-time All-Star, he helped the Yankees teams of the 1970s to win three AL pennants and two World Series. After he retired in 1979, White played in Japan for three seasons before returning to the Yankees as first base coach in 1983 and 1984, his first of three tenures with that role. This button down, gray Yankee road jersey was worn by White while coaching first base his first season back. It has the name "NEW YORK" across the front with White's number "6" on the reverse, both in navy blue-on-white tackle twill. On the lower front tail is the "Wilson 42" manufacturers size tag, and a gray strip tag in the collar is chain-stitched "White 83 1." The jersey has been boldly signed in blue Sharpie “Roy White #6” on the left torso. COA from PSA/DNA, cert number U69425, with PSA/DNA sticker affixed to the size tag. Also comes with a letter of authenticity from game worn jersey expert Dave Miedema.
