Sugar Ray Leonard and Roberto Duran contested one of the fiercest rivalries in boxing during the 1980s. The two welterweights fought three times, with the championship belt on the line each time. Duran won the first fight, while Leonard took the second two. This photograph is from the third fight, a December 7th, 1989 battle at The Mirage in Las Vegas. Leonard defeated the aging Duran by decision after 12 rounds. This picture shows Duran throwing a left hand at Leonard as the American dodges. Both fighters signed this photograph in silver marker. The photograph measures 8 x 10 inches and is matted in a 16 ½ by 13 ½ inch frame. This item comes with a COA from PSA/DNA (AA79653).
