Just two years removed from high school and four years since he was still in Little League, Mike Trout “The Millville Meteor” (out of Millville, New Jersey) made his Major League debut in 2011 and burst on the big league scene. Since his debut, all Mike Trout has done has won two American League MVP awards (thrice finishing second and the other fourth), was the 2012 AL Rookie of the Year, has been an All-Star in each of his six full seasons and has won the Silver Slugger award six times. Trout is easily and deservedly recognized as one of, if not the top player in all of baseball.

Playing in 40 games during the 2011 season, the 19-year-old collected 20 hits, five home runs, six doubles and 16 RBI to get his career rolling. If Trout continues to produce the numbers he has already produced leading into the 2018 season, he will be a lock for the Hall of Fame. Trout made his Major League debut on July 8th, 2011 against the Seattle Mariners at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. Trout went hitless during the Angels 4-3 victory, but the next night on July 9th, Trout recorded his first career hit, an infield single of Mariners’ pitcher Michael Pineda in the bottom of the third inning as the Angels rolled to a 9-3 victory.

Presented here is an opportunity to own a truly remarkable and potentially historic piece of memorabilia. This Old Hickory J143 model bat is the very bat that Trout used during many of the “firsts” of his ever-progressing Hall of Fame career. This maple bat was used during Trout’s debut game on July 8th, his first hit on July 9th, his first career RBI on July 15th at Oakland and his first extra base hit, a double at Oakland on July 16th. The game used experts at PSA/DNA have even photo matched this bat to six games, including the historic “firsts” previously mentioned (July 8, July 9, July 10, July 15, July 16 and July 17). This bat itself displays outstanding use and in un-cracked. There are numerous ball marks, stitch impressions, blue ink transfers and cleat imprints present on the barrel. There is a heavy coating of Mota Stick on the handle and there is a mark visible on the handle that identifies the face of the grain, which is a mandatory marking per Major League Baseball for all bats that are not ash since January 2009. The barrel has stamped “1105228-MT7” which indicates the date (May 2011) and work order number (228). This extraordinary bat comes with a full and detailed LOA from PSA/DNA (1B08518) and has been given a perfect grade of GU 10. Included in this LOA from PSA/DNA are six separate photo matches of Trout using this bat during his debut game, his first hit game, his first RBI game and his first double game, along with two additional games. There is also a LOA from Anderson Authentics signed by Mike Trout, certifying that this bat was used during the 2011 season.
