Boston Red Sox Hall of Famer Ted Williams has signed this Mitchell & Ness replica Boston Red Sox home jersey. Williams, a lifelong Red Sox player, hit 521 home runs during his Major League career. Williams has the highest on-base percentage in baseball history, at .482, and was the winner of two American League MVP Awards. In 1941, Williams became the final player to hit over .400 in a single season after putting up a batting average of .406.
This jersey has “RED SOX” sewn across the chest in red and navy felt. Williams’ number “9”, retired by the Red Sox, is sewn on the back of the jersey in the same fashion. A “HEALTH” patch, representing the Hale America initiative and worn during the 1942 season, is sewn on the left sleeve. This jersey is a size “Large”. Williams has signed the left chest of this jersey just below the “SOX” in blue marker. This item comes with a COA from Upper Deck (AAK18527).
