One of the most popular music acts of the 20th century, the Monkees started as a band on a TV show, but later made the transition to real-life musical superstardom. Led by the charismatic brit Davey Jones, the Monkees outsold the Beatles and Rolling Stones combined at the height of their stardom. The Monkees have sold over 75 million records since their inception, and remain an indelible image of life in the mid 20th century. This photograph features the signatures in blue Sharpie of all four Monkees, Davey Jones, Peter Tork, Michael Nesmith, and Mickey Dolenz. The Monkees are all sitting in chairs inscribed with their name, and are turned around in their seats to face the camera. This item comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (Y04316).
