Offered is a Thurman Munson signed cut in a 15 x 22-inch framed display that includes a color photographic montage of the late New York Yankees catcher. Munson has signed his name on a 3 x 5-inch white index card in blue pen. This item is authenticated and encapsulated by PSA/DNA and is graded MINT 9 (81678130). The signed cut is displayed below an 8 x 10-inch color photographic montage depicting Munson, the former Yankees captain, in his white Yankees pinstriped home uniform, leaning on a rail of the dugout in the left bottom corner. Above his head to the left is an image of Munson at bat, while at left is an image of Munson in his catcher’s gear. The background center is his number, 15, in blue and white with images of Munson set inside the numbers. The signed cut and the photo are mounted in a royal blue paper matte within a 15 x 22-inch black wood frame with glass. Munson's World Series championships in 1977 and 1978 made him only the second catcher in baseball history, at the time, to win a Rookie of the Year Award, an MVP Award, a Gold Glove Award, and a World Series title during his career. He was also the second Yankees captain, after Lou Gehrig, and was the heart and soul of the Yankees teams in the 1970s.
