The legendary New York Yankees catcher Thurman Munson has signed the sweet spot of this Official American League Lee MacPhail baseball. Munson, the 1976 American League MVP, was the heart and soul of the Yankees during the 1970’s. A rock solid hitter with tremendous stamina behind the dish, Munson hit .292 for his career and made seven All-Star Games. Tragically, an aviation accident took Munson’s life in 1979, when the Yankee captain was only 32. Munson has signed the sweet spot of this baseball in blue ballpoint pen.
