New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady earned the first of his five Super Bowl MVP awards during the Patriots thrilling 20-17 victory over the St. Louis Rams in Super Bowl XXXVI on February 3, 2002 at the Louisiana Superdome. The Rams, dubbed “The Greatest Show on Turf” outgained the Patriots 427-267 yards, but a series of turnovers in the third quarter allowed the Patriots to take a 17-3 lead. The Rams would capitalize on a Patriots fumble and Warner would run for a touchdown and pass for another to tie the game 17-17 with a 1:30 left to play. Brady would orchestrate a downfield march with no timeouts that would culminate with a 48-yard field goal by Adam Vinatieri as time expired to capture the Patriots first Super Bowl in franchise history. Brady’s last-minute heroics would earn him the Super Bowl MVP Award.

Presented here is a green full ticket from Super Bowl XXXVII. The 2 ½ x 6 5/8-inch ticket is green and features a hologram of the Lombardi trophy and an American flag on a football field, all in honor of the lives lost during the September 11th terrorist attacks. The top portion of the ticket is labeled “TERRACE”, with the seating information “GATE G SECTION 644 ROW  12 SEAT 07.” The midsection of the ticket is labeled “AFC-NFC WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP GAME SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 3, 2002 5:00 P.M. LOUISIANA SUPERDOME, NEW ORLEANS”. The price of the ticket was $400 and is featured between an NFL logo shield and Super Bowl XXXVI logo. The bottom portion of the ticket contains the seating information, and the reverse side of the ticket features a seating chart of the stadium and terms of the ticket. The ticket comes encapsulated and authenticated by PSA/DNA (28125024) and is graded GEM MT 10.
