One of the top-selling recording artists of all-time and cult-hero figure to a tremendous following of fans, Tupac Amaru Shakur (1971-1996) sold more than 75 million copies of his records. His death was tragic, but his legacy still remains and is considered one of the greatest artists of his generation.
Offered is the handwritten play list to “RU Still Down”. Written on three-hole punch notebook paper, this set list has titled at the top of the page “2PAC “RU STILL DOWN””. Next is the list that reads “part one” and “1 High Til I Die 2 My only fear of Death 3 Temptation 4 STR8 Ballin 5 Hold on B Strong part Two 6 Dear Mama 7 Lord Knowz 8 RU Still Down 9 Death Around the Corner 10 Hellrazor 11 F—k the World 12 Thugz get lonely too!”
Below the list is written in big letters “2PAC “RU STILL DOWN”” then below are the listings in a column format with “side one” and “side Two”. Side one has listed 1-6 “High Til I Die”, “My only fear of Death”, “Temptation”, “F—k the World”, “STR8 Ballin” and “Thugz Get Lonely Too. Side two has listed 7-12 “Dear Mama”, “Death Around the Corner”, “Hold on B Strong”, “Lord Knowz”, “Hellrazor” “RU Still Down”. At the bottom of the sheet is written “All lyrics Written By T. Shakur”. The sheet is in good condition with slight edge wear. Since this item was not singed, PSA/DNA deemed the hand writing inconclusive and therefore, this item is being sold as-is. This item does come with a full LOA from Christopher Walker. Christopher Walker, whose stage name is Majesty, formed the group Live Squad with his brother Stretch (Randy Walker). Walker was co-owner of Grand Imperial Records with rapper E-Money Bags, until his death in 2001. According to Walker in his LOA, he and Tupac were very close and he produced several of Shakur’s songs including “Holler If You Hear Me”, “Pain” and “God Bless The Dead”. Tupac would stay with Walker when he visited New York and over the years, Tupac and one of the items left was his notebook that contained this “R U Still Down” set list, among several other items.
