Basketball legend Wayman Tisdale owned and played this Guild F50R acoustic guitar during his lengthy and decorated career as a recording artist. Tisdale recorded eight contemporary jazz albums after growing up playing the bass guitar at his father’s church in Oklahoma. His basketball career, which ended after a three-season spell with the Phoenix Suns in the late 1990’s, saw him average over 15 points and six rebounds per game over his 12 seasons in the NBA. In the collegiate ranks, Tisdale was even more successful, earning All-America and Big Eight Player of the Year nods in each of his three seasons at the University of Oklahoma. Tisdale, who averaged a double-double of 25.6 points and 10.1 rebounds per game in college, was inducted into the College Basketball Hall of Fame in 2009. This guitar has a natural wood finish and a red pickguard. This guitar comes with a LOA from Regina Tisdale, the wife of the late Wayman Tisdale.
