The great slugger Willie Stargell signed this Official Carolina League baseball bearing the stamped signature of league president John Hopkins. Stargell, the 1979 National League regular season and World Series MVP, signed the sweet spot of this ball in black pen. A fearsome slugger and beloved clubhouse leader, Stargell punched his ticket to Cooperstown on the strength of his 475 career home runs and seven All-Star appearances.
