The titanic battles between Bill Russell and Wilt Chamberlain defined professional basketball in the 1960s. Russell, the archetype of a near-perfect defensive center, usually came out on top over the offensively dominant Chamberlain for titles, as the Celtics won 11 over his 13 season career.
This picture shows on of their many contests, with this one taking place in the Boston Garden. Chamberlain is shown laying the ball up over a jumping and outstretched Russell. Both Chamberlain and Russell signed this photograph in black marker, with each inscribing their number underneath their signature. This photograph is enclosed in a 25 x 21 ½ inch frame and this item comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (AB12552).
