This Spalding basketball was used on the December 7th, 1983 game between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the visiting Atlanta Hawks. Cleveland’s star two-guard World B. Free scored the 13,000th point of his career in this game, a 106-92 Cleveland victory. Free led the Cavaliers with 21 points, while adding three steals and dishing three assists in his star performance. Despite Free’s 22.3 points per game in 1983-84, the Cavaliers stumbled to a fourth place finish in the Central Division. This basketball features “World B. Free” and “13,000th POINT / DEC. 7, 1983” painted on the ball in white paint. Free signed the “Spalding” panel in black marker and this ball shows good signs of use. This item comes with a LOA from Sandee Free.
