Arthur Miller’s unique series “A Baseball Card That Never Was” continues with this vintage entrant featuring the legendary Shoeless Joe Jackson. This artwork is a mixed media on canvas. Specifically, the mixed media is acrylic enamel house paint, oil pastels and colored pencils and sealed with varnish. This original artwork imagines what a Jackson entry in the iconic 1948 Leaf set would look like. Jackson is portrayed in his circa 1913-14 Cleveland Indians home uniform with two bats slung over his left shoulder. A red bar is located near the bottom of the artwork with “Joe Jackson” painted inside in white text. The back of this artwork has “A Baseball Card That Never Was: Joe Jackson (1948 Leaf)”, “2018”, and Miller’s signature written in black. Miller’s signature is also located on the upper right corner of this artwork. This item measures 25 x 30 inches and is a one-of-a-kind display piece for any baseball fan.
