Hall of Fame center Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was presented with this leather jacket custom made by Jeff Hamilton in honor of Abdul-Jabbar’s inclusion on the NBA’s 50 Greatest Players list, accumulated during the NBA’s 50th Anniversary celebrations during the 1996-97 season. This jacket has a purple body with white sleeves, and a “NBA 50” logo sewn on the left chest. Abdul-Jabbar’s number “33” is sewn on the right sleeve in Lakers colors, while a Jeff Hamilton logo is sewn on both the left sleeve and the back inside collar. “LAKERS” is sewn across the back of this size “2XL” jacket in yellow and white. A patch sewn on the inside of the jacket reads “This is a Limited Edition of 50 Jackets designed by Jeff Hamilton, commissioned by the National Basketball Association to Honor the Fifty Greatest Players in the History of the League. February 9, 1997”. Hamilton has signed this patch in gold marker. This jacket derives directly from Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and a personally hand-signed LOA from Kareem will accompany this item.
