In order to drum up demand for its current products, sports card manufacturers in the 1990s originated the “chase” cards often named after precious metals like Silver Elite and Black Gold. Inserting a few special cards per box or even per case, companies forced collectors to buy and rip open box after box to find these cards with much higher value. This wore off a little, and manufacturers began inserting autographed and game used” cards. Now, the Panini Company has one upped everyone by actually issuing 14K gold cards, limiting each run to a “1 of 1.” They partnered with the Beckett Grading Service (both are located in Texas), who encapsulated the gems. Presented here is the 2012 Andrew Luck Golden Ticket “1 of 1.” There are only 52 Golden Tickets available…not of just Andrew Luck, but in the entire series! One of each player. And this is for the NFL’s most exciting new quarterback, the first overall draft pick who led his Indianapolis Colts to a playoff berth his first season in the NFL. These cards are redemption cards so the overall market will always dwindle, but never increase. This is an unbelievable opportunity to acquire one of the rarest, and most sought after sports cards ever produced. Literally, this card is worth its weight in gold. Beckett Grading Services “1 of 1.”
