After he led the UCLA Bruins to the Championship in 1975, Marques Johnson was drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks in 1977. The College Basketball Hall of Famer spent seven seasons with Milwaukee where he made the All-Rookie team and 5 NBA All-Star teams. The small forward wore this colorful jersey in the late 1970's when he was one of the most promising young players in the NBA. The home white jersey has "BUCKS" and Johnson's number "8" on the front in red and green appliqué. Red trip runs around the v-neck, arm openings and down the sides. A green and white striped pattern descends down each side adding a great 1970's flavor to the piece. A size 42 Medalist Sand Knit label is sewn in the lower left side of the jersey. The back has "M JOHNSON" in red tackle twill above a green and red appliqué number "8". The jersey shows good game use with some light staining evident throughout and some wear from laundering. The appliqué graphics are still bright and the tackle twill letters are firmly attached with some loose threads visible. You couldn't ask for a better jersey to typify the 1970's NBA. This jersey comes with a full LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
