Presented is a pair of batting gloves worn by New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez when he hit his 22nd career grand slam, on April 23, 2011. Rodriguez hit career home run 618 with this grand slam off Baltimore Orioles pitcher Josh Rupe with two outs in the 8th inning, en route to 15-3 Yankees win over the Baltimore Orioles at Camden Yards. A-Rod finished his 22-year career with 25 Grand Slams, followed by Lou Gehrig with 23 and Manny Ramirez with 21.

Rodriguez has signed his name in black marker on both gloves, and inscribed “HR 618 G Slam” in black marker on the palm of the left glove beneath his signature, and “HR 618 Grand Slam” in black marker on the palm of the right glove beneath his signature.  The white leather and mesh Nike batting gloves have dirt stains on the palms and fingers of both gloves and on the wristbands.  There is a blue Nike swoosh logo on the top of each glove, along with the legend “Diamond Elite” on the top of both wristbands. The bottom side of both wristbands have the number “13” in blue embroidery on a white cloth patch with a gray Nike swoosh. This pair of batting gloves come with a signed LOA from Rodriguez.
