This .45 rpm record sleeve is signed by all four Beatles and the Miami, Florida DJ Charlie Murdock. Murdock obtained these signatures while interviewing the band backstage before their one and only appearance at the Gator Bowl on September 11, 1964, then gifted the item to a teenage female fan. This was at the height of The Beatles popularity, during the band’s first American tour! Yellow and Orange Capitol Records “A Hard Day’s Night” single with “I Should Have Known Better,” B-side is signed on paper sleeve by "Paul McCartney", "John Lennon", "George Harrison" and "Ringo Starr", plus DJ "Charlie Murdock WQAM" in blue ball point pen. There is a “9/11/64” underlined inscription also written. The package also contains original outer sleeve with three-photo collage of the Beatles and Charlie Murdock WQAM business card signed on the back by singer Pat Boone. It is amazing when looking at the date this item was signed, realizing how that date is much different today in America. That 9/11 Beatles concert in 1964 during their initial American tour brought joy to many fans (especially the original recipient of this item!), and we know this signed item dated "9/11" will bring extreme joy to one more lucky fan. This lot comes with a “Beatles Autographs Story” provenance letter written by the original recipient of the autographed record sleeve, Timi Brock. Full LOAs from James Spence Authentication, cert number X18466, and a full LOA from PSA/DNA, cert number S05495. In addition, an LOA is provided by Perry Cox, author of "The Official Price Guide to Beatles Records and Memorabilia." Mr. Cox also indicates this is one of the very few known complete Beatles autographed items from that event.
