Ted Williams’ historic 1941 season will forever be remembered as the year Teddy Ballgame hit .406, the last time any player batted over .400. Lesser known, however, is the Splendid Splinter’s accomplishment in the 1941 All-Star Game, during which he blasted a game-winning 3-run home run in the bottom of the 9th inning to give the American League a come from behind 7-5 victory. This 8X10 photograph captures the moment Williams crosses home plate, shaking hands with Joe DiMaggio whom he had just driven home with the winning run. Williams has signed this fantastic B&W photograph in bold blue sharpie. The photo has been matted in a framed display measuring 19X21, and comes tagged with UDA hologram BAF39034.
