Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. Hall of Famer. "Piedmont - 350 Subjects" back. This is one of three examples at its tier (with none graded higher) among a total of more than 350 copies recorded in PSA's census reporting. This beautiful card's assessment implies that its attributes are limited to those generally accepted in defining the Near Mint to Mint grade. This one, however, in virtually all respects, meets and exceeds those criteria – and adds incomparable eye appeal to the formula. It would be nearly impossible for a T206 to exhibit greater depth and clarity in printing. Its full, snow-white borders frame Cobb's image with admirable symmetry, displaying alignment that's just a hair toward the left. Cobb's face comes through as almost impossibly clear, and even the pupils in his eyes are perfectly centered. The card's red background could not be more brilliant, and its "Piedmont" reverse is boldly rendered in deep blue ink. This amazing hallmark is as close to "pack-fresh" as a cigarette card can be. Strong and visually dazzling Near Mint to Mint condition.
