Graded VG-EX+ 4.5 by BVG. Hall of Famer. The aura of Babe Ruth carried his legend to exotic and faraway places, including Germany, the country of this lovingly detailed card's origin. Although just one component of Sanella Margarine's multi-themed, 112-card overseas release, this exceptional, single piece has enjoyed eight-plus decades of renown. The delicate, 2-3/4" x 4-1/8" Sanella's are often seen with superficial flaws, but this specimen concedes only mild hints of wear and remains majestic in its presentation quality. The bright white reverse is inscribed entirely in German. This scarcer Type II example, distinguished from Type I by the layout of its cardback design, delivers impressive eye appeal. Very Good to Excellent-plus condition.
