This enticing and seldom-encountered 1933 Ruth memento hails from the Canadian counterpart to the R319 Goudey baseball issue sold in the United States during that same year. (The scarcer and intriguing specialty version of Goudey's "Big League Gum" issue is easily identifiable by the "World Wide Gum Co., Ltd." branding found on this item's reverse.) On this spellbinding specimen, the background's flowing orange hue and fabulous detail in the legend's expression define the great Yankee's depiction. The piece's corners reveal balanced, honest wear that presents no offense, and general evidence of past circulation only lightly affects the majestic piece's surface and periphery. The green-and-white cardback displays precise, resolute inking. Very Good to Excellent condition, with praiseworthy visual appeal.
