Offered is a brilliant black and white photograph taken of baseball icon Jackie Robinson prior to him joining the Brooklyn Dodgers for his rookie and historical season of 1947. Shown on the infield making a throw to first base, Robinson is shown following through on a throw with his glove just below his chin at chest level. The back of the photograph has stamped “LOOK MAGAZINE PHOTOGRAPH CREDIT MUST BE GIVEN TO LOOK MAGAZINE. REPRODUCTION PROHIBITED WITHOUT WRITTEN AUTHORIZATION FROM LOOK” in black and “Jackie Robinson” handwritten in pencil. This 8 ¼ x 10 inch photograph has been classified Type 1 by PSA/DNA (1P03930) and encapsulated.
