Joe DiMagggio’s record 56-game hitting streak came to an end on July 17th, 1941 against the Cleveland Indians. While the Yankees left Cleveland Stadium with a 4-3 victory, the stoic DiMaggio ended the game 0-3, although he did reach base on a fourth inning walk. DiMaggio’s final at-bat, against Jim Bagby in the eighth inning, saw the future Hall of Famer ground out to Indians shortstop Lou Boudreau. Offered here is a ticket stub to the July 17th game.
