The Yankees matched up against the Brooklyn Dodgers in the 1947 Fall Classic, defeating their Senior Circuit opponents in a riveting seven-game series. Presented here is an Official American League William Harridge baseball signed by 22 members of the 1947 Yankees. Spud Chandler and Butch Wensloff have signed the sweet spot, while additional signatures include the Hall of Famers Joe DiMaggio, Phil Rizzuto, and Yogi Berra. Berra has signed his birth name of “Larry Berra” on this baseball. The remaining signatures include Don Johnson, George “Snuffy” Stirnweiss, Bill Bevens, Randy Gumpert, Chuck Dressen, Johnny Lucadello, Billy Johnson, Allie Reynolds, Bobby Brown, John Lindell, Mel Queen, Ralph Houk (signed twice), Spec Shea, Aaron Robinson, Al Lyons, and one other.
