Presented here is a Type I photograph of Babe Ruth taken during the 1940s. The photograph shows Babe Ruth presenting a child in a wagon a large wad of cash, while two clowns and a dog in a rabbit costume look on. One of the clowns is holding a gun, and Ruth is wearing a jaunty and too small cap. This photograph measures 6.5 x 8.5 inches and features both period stamping and writing on the reverse side. This is a truly fascinating glimpse into the life of America’s greatest athlete. The photograph is accompanied by a Type I LOA from PSA/DNA (1P10469).
