Presented is a lot of 10 ticket stubs and passes for the World Series from the period 1950 to 1959.  The first ticket stub in this lot is from Game 2 of the 1950 World Series, played at Shibe Park in Philadelphia, with the New York Yankees beating the Philadelphia Phillies, 2-1 in 10 innings.  This was the last postseason game ever played in Shibe Park. The Phillies’ 20-game winner, Robin Roberts, and the Yanks’ Allie Reynolds both pitched outstanding baseball for nine innings but Joe DiMaggio’s lead-off home run in the 10th inning to left field provided the difference. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (22393691). The second ticket stub in this lot is from the 1953 World Series, Game 3, a 3-2 Brooklyn Dodgers win over the New York Yankees at Ebbets Field on Oct. 2, 1953.  Although the Yankees won the Series, Brooklyn had at least one shining moment, as pitcher Carl Erskine set a new Series record by striking out 14 Yankees in Game 3. That broke Howard Ehmke's 1929 record by one. Erskine's record would stand until Sandy Koufax got 15 in 1963.  This ticket stub has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (20839185). The third ticket stub in this lot is from Game 6 of the 1953 World Series, when the Yankees clinched their 16th title with a 4-3 win over the Dodgers on Oct. 5, 1953 at Yankee Stadium.  This ticket stub has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (22363320).

The fourth item in this lot is a Police pass to Game 7 of the 1956 World Series at Ebbets Field, October 10, 1956.  Yogi Berra's two homers led the New York Yankees to an unexpectedly easy title-clinching 9-3 victory over the Brooklyn Dodgers. Yankee pitcher Johnny Kucks struck out Jackie Robinson to end the game and the Series. It would be Robinson's final at-bat, as he retired at the season's end.  This pass has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (23421881). This fifth ticket stub in this lot is from Game 4 of the 1957 World Series, Oct. 6, 1957 at Milwaukee County Stadium. The Milwaukee Braves beat the New York Yankees, 7-5, behind two home runs by Hank Aaron and one apiece from Frank Torre and Eddie Matthews, as the Braves Warren Spahn got the 10-inning complete game win. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (20943116). The sixth ticket stub in this lot is from Game 7 of the 1957 World Series at Yankee Stadium, which the Milwaukee Braves won, 5-0 to clinch the 1957 title.  In the game, the Yankees were limited to seven hits and one walk by Braves righthander Lew Burdette, who was named the Series MVP after pitching three complete games and two shutouts. He was the first pitcher since Christy Mathewson to pitch two shutouts in a World Series. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (20877014).

The seventh item in this lot is a Yankees Stadium Club Pass valid only for Game 7 of the 1957 World Series.  Notably, Game 7 of the 1957 World Series is the last time, to date, that the Yankees have hosted the final game of the World Series. This item has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (22393689). The eighth ticket stub in this lot is from Game 2 of the 1958 World Series at Milwaukee County Stadium on Oct. 2, 1958. Mickey Mantle hit two home runs for the Yankees, but the Braves prevailed 13-5. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (23421920).  The ninth ticket stub in this lot is from Game 7 of the 1958 World Series at Milwaukee County Stadium.  The Yankees clinched their 18th World Series title with a 6-2 win over the Braves. Yankees righthander “Bullet Bob” Turley became the first relief pitcher to be named World Series MVP, going 2–1 with a save.  This ticket stub has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (20943114). The 10h ticket stub in this lot is from Game 5 of the 1959 World Series, the Chicago White Sox vs. the Los Angeles Dodgers at the Los Angeles Coliseum, Oct. 8, 1959. A record-breaking crowd of 92,706 turned out. For the first time in World Series history, however, three pitchers combined for a shutout, as Bob Shaw, Billy Pierce and Dick Donovan quieted the Dodgers and their fans 1–0 in Game 5, sending the series back to Chicago. The game's only run scored in the fourth off starter Sandy Koufax, coming when Nellie Fox scored as Herm Lollar grounded into a double play. To date, this remains the largest crowd in World Series history.  The Dodgers won the 1959 World Series four games to two. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (22393657).
