Graded GD+ 2.5 by PSA. Hall of Famer, in his debut-year appearance on Topps gum cards. Presented is an icon of the collecting hobby, in the form of the universally desired '52 Topps depiction of Mickey Mantle. This example reveals reasonably sound coloration in its all-important player image: the great slugger's likeness is bright, graphic elements (team logo and caption block) are clear, and only the azure-blue background hue carries the effects of scuffing. The back is clean with unimpaired legibility, and the corners show wear consistent with the piece's assigned grade. This is a tempting and suitably intact piece that's ideal for the collector-grade 1952 Topps set which so many enthusiasts aspire to complete. Good-plus condition.
