On September 23rd, 1952, Rocky Marciano fought Jersey Joe Walcott at Municipal Stadium in Philadelphia for The Ring and lineal heavyweight titles. Marciano and Walcott traded blows for 13 rounds before the undefeated Marciano delivered a crushing right hook that knocked Walcott out instantaneously. Walcott had built a steady lead on the referee’s scorecards, but the knockout power of Marciano’s right fist was too much for the former champion. Offered here is a ticket stub to the Walcott-Marciano championship fight in Philadelphia. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (22027036).
