For the second time in the decade Leo Durocher was able to steer his Giants into the World Series. Whereas 1951 went down to the wire, his 1954 team won by a comfortable margin, with aces Sal Maglie, Johnny Antonelli and Ruben Gomez combining to win 52 games between them. The Giants then faced the much-favored Indians in the Series but surprised the world by sweeping the 111-game winners in 4-straight.

28 members of the 1954 World Champion New York Giants have signed this Official League Ball stamped baseball. On this ball is an early-career signature from Hall of Famer Willie Mays. Other signatures include Hall of Famers Hoyt Wilhelm and Monte Irvin, along with Ruben Gomez, Al Dark, Foster Castleman, Joe Amalfitano, Dave Williams, Bill Gardner, Johnny Antonelli, Don Liddle, Al Corwin, Hank Thompson, Don Mueller, Larry Jansen, Bob Hofman, Bill Taylor, Dusty Rhodes, Marv Grissom, Al Worthington, Ray Katt, Whitey Lockman, Paul Giel, Sal Maglie and four others. This ball comes with a LOA from JSA for the signatures. Please note that the Leo Durocher signature is a stamp.
