Hall of Famer Duke Snider wore this blue Brooklyn Dodgers cap during the 1957 season, which was the last one in Brooklyn before the Dodgers moved west to Los Angeles. The “Duke of Flatbush” gave the fans one last hurrah as Snider hit 40 home runs for the fourth and final time in his career and drove in 92 runs. This Tim McAuliffe Company size 7 1/8 cap features the Brooklyn “B” in gothic font embroidered in white on the front. Snider’s number “4” is handwritten in blue marker on the green underside of the brim and the cap has a six-panel construction with a white button on the top. The interior of the cap has a tan leather sweat band which displays some cracking from extended wear. The hat displays heavy game use and the “B” and white button are toned. A great relic from the last season in Brooklyn. This hat comes with a LOA from MEARS for the game use.
