Graded GEM MT 10 by PSA. Rookie Card. The two greatest players in Brazil’s storied soccer history, Pele and Garrincha, star on this monumental Swedish Rekord Journal Hand Cut collectible dating to the year of Brazil’s first World Cup title. Pele led Brazil their first FIFA World Cup title in 1958, scoring a pair of goals against host nation Sweden in the tournament final. Pele’s teammate Manoel Francisco Santos, known as Garrincha, also played a significant role in Brazil’s title, with his magnificent dribbling earning the Botafogo forward a spot on the World Cup’s All-Tournament Team. This hand-cut rookie card shows Pele and Garrincha in front of a sky-blue background framed by a blazing red border. Of the 105 examples of this card currently in the PSA population report, this is one of two graded at its tier, with none graded higher. A significant Pele rookie card, in magisterial Gem Mint condition.
