Offered here is the debut-year gum card of the athlete who held baseball's single-season home run crown for more than three decades. Displaying top-notch condition in every respect, this is an extraordinary example from the often sensitive and unforgiving 1958 Topps set. On the card's front, bright white borders and sharp corners frame a magnificent photograph of the young North Dakotan in his Cleveland uniform. The overall effect of the item's aesthetic is to delight the eyes. Maris' likeness, and his breathtaking orange background, are uncommonly lush in appearance. Impressive Near Mint to Mint condition.
