Despite injuries to their pitching staff and Hall of Famer Red Schoendienst, the 1958 Milwaukee Braves repeated as National League Champions by eight games over the Pittsburgh Pirates, thanks in large part to the pitching of Hall of Famer Warren Spahn and Lew Burdette. Spahn was simply dominant in 1958 as he led the National League in complete games, innings pitched and wins. After dropping the first game of the World Series at Yankee Stadium, Spahn returned for Game 4 in Milwaukee with the Braves trailing in the series 2-1. Spahn responded by pitching all 10 innings in Milwaukee’s 7-5 victory. Presented here is a Warren Spahn Hillerich & Bradsby M159 model bat that was made for the Hall of Famer for the 1958 World Series. This bat does not display any game use and is un-cracked. The bat’s model number “M159” is stamped on the knob and “WORLD SERIES 1958 SPAHN MILWAUKEE BRAVES” is stamped on the barrel. This bat is in excellent condition and is a great keepsake from the only World Series won by the Braves while they were in Milwaukee. This comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B25747).
