Former third baseman Andy Carey used this Hillerich & Bradsby R43 model bat during his last season with the New York Yankees in 1959 and his first season with the Kansas City A’s in 1960. Carey hit 15 home runs and had 63 RBI combined in those two seasons and this offered bat displays heavy game use with a crack on the handle. There are ball marks and severe checking or grain swelling from repeated ball contact present on the barrel. The bat’s model number “R43” is stamped on the knob. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B14825) for the game use.
